Summit PAL meets its mission by sponsoring and hosting events and programs that create pride and foster community spirit in our great city of Summit.

Events

The Summit PAL and Department of Community Programs will be hosting the annual Pet Show on Summit’s Village Green, 356 Broad Street starting at 1PM.

Join the Summit PAL along with other Summit civic and school groups as we march along with, and honor, our veterans. Spectators are encouraged to gather on DeForest Avenue, Beechwood Road, Springfield Avenue and along Maple Street to the Village Green.

The PAL Golf Classic is our largest source of funding and enables us to continue to sponsor community events like those mentioned below. It is also a great day of golf and a good opportunity to socialize with Summit Police Officers and their supporters.

Everyone and their mummy is welcome to march along with the PAL Halloween Parade. Spectators are encouraged to line the parade route as costumed families make their way through downtown Summit, ending on the Village Green. PAL judges will be on the lookout for the scariest, funniest, and best overall costumes throughout the event. Any costumed event participant will automatically be entered into the Chilling Costume Contest which will take place once all marchers have reached the Village Green. Both spectators and marchers are welcome to enjoy free cookies and cider at the PAL food cart on the Green as well as live entertainment!
